3D Design Student Learns Something That Might be of Practical Use

In a previously unheard of occurrence, a student in Mr. Sackman’s 3D design class learned something that might be applicable outside of the classroom. Says a fellow student, “We were just polishing our copper plates, by hand as usual, when I noticed that [the student] was muffling his file’s sound by covering it with a piece of cotton”. Insignificant as this may seem, the 3D Design class is used to daily, hour long test of patience involving clay, papier-mâché, or balsa wood. When long time teacher Mr. Sackman was questioned about this potentially mildly useful technique, he replied incoherently, mumbling something about how “this was not supposed to happen”. The student (who is still receiving a B- in the class) downplayed this monumental event saying that “there’s the off chance that I would use this if I got a career as a coppersmith”. As students face the prospect of actually learning something in their 3D design class, this is turning out to be an exciting week at Monta Vista indeed.
