Laissez Faire Parking Economics

It has come to the MV populous attention that there is a large parking problem in our high school. While most MV students pay upwards of 35 dollars for a parking spot other students in schools such as Lynbrook have only started paying for their permits. The cost is around 5 dollars. I resent any paying for any permit to park. It is our God given right to park. God made parking and then he made spots, and then he fused the two together so everyone could park. (Mathew Creation; 3:23) Is it the students’ fault that the school can’t find an efficient way to solve parking problems? If they tore down the tennis courts then why are we putting them back up a year later? Keep that place open for parking and rip up the football field and build the courts there. Our team sucks anyway. Yet they still get somewhere around 350-400 points in extra curricular credit, that’s another story.

The point is parking should be a freaking free for all, Juniors and Seniors should battle it out. I was in the parking lot, un-permitted I might add, and there are enough spots for at least 60 more people, and this was during second period. It’s idiotic that we have to pay for this crap. Laissez faire parking is much simpler. You let the competition handle the situation, people that lack the motivation to get up in the morning park on Alcazar. Seniors that don’t come to school, you don’t need a freaking spot. Its like the dude once said, “you follow the path of the one that benefits and you know man.” (I am the walrus). Who benefits here, I really don’t know, everybody is getting screwed; Tennis: no courts, Juniors and some Senior:; no parking, Football team: still sucks. I really don’t see who benefits, but I guarantee you someone is, and this reporter/editor in chief/senior political analyst will god willing find out whom.
